My body was stolen from me before I could feel it myself. MAN has made me the object of his contemplation. My role in his world was mapped out for me. I was taken away from myself and went on a search for clues:
Series – Interspaces: In the close-ups, my body dissolves into the white grain of the glossy paper. Impressions become clear and sore spots (imperfections made) visible. The shadow expands into space and develops a life of its own: black spots. Black holes. Vacancies!
Series – Tilting pictures: A palpation and the re-conquest of my body begin. The previous feelings of shame become a blossom – the pubic hair a whirlwind. I try to integrate contradictions and approach my body as a subject: self-discovery and self-abandonment. Creation and destruction. Blossom and whirlwind!
Series – n ich t [eng: not]: My face is showing. The ego in a state of dizziness and dissension. Identity loss. Total dissolution in the rushing grain. I'm falling apart.
Series – s ich t [eng: vision]: Zero point. My wounded, naked body – alive, dead, alive. I throw myself on the cold forest ground and surrender to the eyes of the world. Rediscovery outside.
